How to set up your Flux account in 3 simple steps.
A couple of things may seem strange or confusing the first time you open the Flux app. This article will help get you started on the most important steps you need to complete your account setup.
Step 1: Email verification
You’ll receive a verification link in the email address provided when signing up with the subject line “Please Confirm Your E-mail Address”. Click the link to verify you are the owner of the email address. The confirmation mail will look like the reference image below (note this screenshot was taken as of the writing of this blog post).
Step 2: Account verification
Flux is mandated by the CBN to verify every user’s identity for your security, the security of the platform and that of its users, this is done via two simple options:
- NIN
- BVN
Click on the menu icon, tap settings and click on the “Account Verification” option to access these verification options.
After clicking the option of your choice (NIN or BVN). Enter the number in the provided field. A 6 digit OTP will be sent to the phone number linked with your BVN or NIN. Enter the digits received in the field to get your account verified.
Don’t have access to the phone number? Don’t fret! Wait for the countdown timer to end, then click on the “Try another option” text to verify your BVN manually. Ready to get it done? Click here Find reference images below.
Step 3: Update your profile
This is the fun part, this last step ensures that you can access everything flux has to offer, in your account details under the settings tab, you are about to set a number of personal info that makes your account unique.
- Flux Tag: This is simple any nickname of your choice, asides using your unique Flux ID, people are able to send cash/crypto to your flux account using this tag you have just created.
- Profile picture: It’s great to put a face to your flux account, flux is able to use this picture to create personalised content for you.
- Name and Date of Birth: This last bit is just giving the details you signed in with a second look and confirm everything is intact.

Access your unique flux account details (Where you send money to fund your flux wallet from any local bank account) by clicking on the “Add Cash” button on your home page.
